The Hot Hues of August

Its official, August is my least favorite month (at least in Texas). I find the heat is draining me of energy and creativity. Sorry to be so negative, but I just have to vent. Taking a deep breath...a long gulp of iced tea...visualizing ice bergs...ahhhhhh, that's better.

Recently, my mom found a few old family photos I've never seen. Little treasures and a good reason to scrap. The photo on this layout shows her modeling a two-piece bathing suit in her "tween" years. My grandmother wrote BEVERLY on the border and on the back is a notation explaining this was a fishing trip. Funny, my mom's not the fishing type.

I was inspired by this post on the Pink Paislee blog.

This layout is almost completely Pink Paislee. New, old, and in between.

Paper - Hometown Summer Fruit Stand (B side), Green Acres (A&B)
Cupid Collection 2009 Love Potion (B side)
Fascinating 2009 Eye Popping
Border stickers - Hometown Summer
Chipboard alphas - Fascinating
Cork buttons - Queen Bee

Other products: Scrap FX butterfly, Uchida opaque paint marker, misc. ribbon, buttons, cardstock, red jute twine

I'm so glad you stopped by, y'all come back now, ya hear!
