Echo Park's "Be Mine" collection was so much fun to work with. Black, white, and sizzling hot pink...I mean, what's not to love?
I embellished EP's patterned paper with lots of goodies to make this hanger for mom. Let's see, there's ZVA bling, Little Yellow Bicycle border stickers, seed beads, rhinestones, acrylic paint, mini pom poms, AC ribbons, trims, a Maya Road bird,a chandelier crystal, etc.
Even though I had fun putting this project together, it had me hitting a brick wall creatively speaking. It started as a banner using a set of 10 mini lights from Lowes which I painstakingly altered. I was inspired by a window display at Anthropology. Then when it was time to combine the "love letters" with the lights, it just didn't come together the way I envisioned.
So it was time for plan B. Very frustrating. I am my own worst critic and I wanted this to be perfect for Mom. She loved it. I, on the other hand, didn't.
So now its time to shake it off and start crafting and scrapping again. Who knows? One of these days I'll use those mini lights and they will be fabulous (hopefully, lol).
Thanks for stopping by.
